Politicization - Issue of State Governance

Jan Kohoutek Ph.D. Fakulta sociálních věd - institut sociologických studií - Katedra veřejné a sociální politiky Abstract The bachelor thesis deals with the problem of politicization of the Czech state administration. This problem is quite widely used in the media space, especially after every parliamentary election. However, nowhere is there precise data and description of how extensive this phenomenon is within the Czech state administration. This is mainly due to the unavailability of data directly from the Czech state administration. Due to the aforementioned unavailability of data, I decided to conduct qualitative research through interviews in this thesis. The interviewees were both experts in the field of public administration and politicization, and representatives of the largest political entities. By combining the opinions of experts and politicians, whose attitude towards politicization has not been mapped so far, I tried to get a new perspective on the issue of politicization and at the same time information from the practical functioning of public administration, to which politicians are close. Possibilities of ex situ protection of rare and endangered plant species

The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to present the possibilities, significance and possible problems of ex-situ protection for the future conservation of biodiversity of plants on Earth. In the introductory part of the thesis, the individual processes and programs of ex situ protection are described, with the help of literature search. At the same time, information on international cooperation in the field of seed banks and botanical gardens is presented, which, through their activities and mutual cooperation, create rescue programs to secure as many samples of plant material for possible future use. The work also mentions international plant databases, which provide the accurate and detailed information about the preserved material of rare and endangered plant species for the public. Further in the thesis, the currently known problems of ex situ protection with their impacts on the collected and stored material are mapped. Problem of CITES in the Czech republic

Thesis topic is "Problem of CITES in the Czech Republic." It´s main objective is to identify the "Convention on Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora" (CITES) and in case of deficiencies, propose measures to eliminate them.
The work consists of two parts - a literature review and a practical part. The literature search involves the formation, functioning, organization and legislation Convention, defines the specimens on which the Convention applies, and which may include attachments. Finally, focusing on the illegal trade of endangered species. The practical part defines the principal organs, which are in the Czech Republic operate in ensuring compliance with the Convention. Instantiates a specimen important for the Czech Republic, how they should be handled, register them and hold. Finally, the course focuses on the most important cases and controls found in the Czech Republic. In the end the results are evaluated and suggested various recommendations to improve.

Waste management in the Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis Waste management in the Czech Republic deals analysis and development of waste management in the Czech Republic. In the bachelor thesis are evaluated and compared between each other individual regions of the Czech Republic and periods. In the first part explains the basic concepts related to the waste management and the legislation dealing with this sector. The national waste policy in the Czech Republic is introduced there. The practical part is focused on analysis of waste management. With the help of time series is monitored the development of production of selected types of waste. Followed by comparison Czech Republic with countries of EU. Another section of the thesis deals with the vision of waste management in the EU. The final section presents suggestions that could contribute to the reduction of waste, the efficient use of already generated waste and ecological waste management

Je kriticky popsán stav monitorování POPs v České republice. Jsou uvedeny systémy, které poskytují informace o stavu kontaminace abiotických a biotických složek životního prostředí na vysoké úrovni, zároveň je však konstatován nedostatek integračního úsilí v jednotlivých resortech státní správy pro vznik a realizaci dlouhodobé koncepce monitoringu, který by intergovaně sledoval problematiku POPs. Jsou uvedeny možnosti rozvoje monitoringu POPs v ČR.
